Will Speed Clean damage the color of my inflatable
Bill Basinger asked:
Is your Speed Clean safe to use with Sea Eagle PVC Inflatables? Is there any chance of the product damaging the color of the fabric?
After cleaning with Speed Clean is the application of Poly Guard a requirement or an option?
Will the Poly Guard finish on the fabric create a bonding problem for with vinyl glue if seams need to be re-glued in the future?

Speed Clean will not damage PVC and is made for all inflatable boats. It will not damage the color of the PVC, providing that the material is not already damaged. If the color is integral to the fabric and the fabric is in good shape it will not damage the color. If the color is applied to the surface, it’s important to test the Speed Clean on an inconspicuous spot first to determine if will remove the paint.
Everything is optional but after going through the time trouble and expense of cleaning the boat, I would highly recommend protecting it with Poly Guard. This will reduce you need for cleaning and make it much easier to keep clean. Poly Guard will protect it from UV, suntan oil, diesel, staining, scuffs and mildew damage. It’s not slippery or greasy and will not stain your clothes. It also replaces lost plasticizers to extend the life of your boat. 2 coats will last 3 to 6 months. it’s recommended by most major inflatable boat manufacturers; companies like , Caribe, Brig and many more.
