Will Alumabrite CBX make my Pontoons Silver or turn them White?
Gary Ubl asked:
Will your Alumabrite CBX product work on cleaning my pontoons to a silvery finish, without leaving a white residue like many other products?

That depends.
If your pontoons are discolored with dark water stain then Alumabrite CBX will make them silver again.
If your aluminum pontoons are damaged because they’ve been etched, streaked, clouded or discolored by other cleaners or acids, typically used for fiberglass boats to remove fouling, or salt from road transport or salt water then there is no chemical cleaner that can reverse the damage. You will need to clean and buff out the damaged surface with Alumabuff.
This is a common problem that many pontoon boat owners face because they just didn’t know. If they had protected their pontoons with Alumetron and VS721 when they were new, they wouldn’t have these problems. The Alumetron and VS721 protective coatings can last up to 10 years.
The good news is that most pontoons can easily be restored to like new with the Alumabuff system and then protected with Alumetron and VS721.
