For your convenience, I’ve highlighted the hyperlinks. Click on the hyperlink to get more information about the selected product.

The safest product to use is Algex, providing it’s a factory painted surface. If it has been repainted, the Algex may attack the paint to some degree. Also, the longer you leave the cleaner on the more it will penetrate the paint. I suggest that you try it on a small inconspicuous spot first and also determine the minimum time required to remove the stain before rinsing clean.

Dealers use Algex on a regular basis to remove marine growth and stains from painted boats, outboard and stern drive lower units, props, pontoons and raw aluminum, with great success and minimal damage.

After cleaning your hull, consider protecting it with VS721. It will reduce the staining and marine growth attachment in the future.

Thanks for your question,
