Hi Garland
A lot of people use Alumabrite CBX on anodized aluminum, with good results. Sailors use it on their masts and find that it helps anneal worn areas, which makes the mast more uniform in color.
A word of caution: it does etch glass. If you are planning to use it on a windshield molding, you may cause damage to your glass, unless it is well protected. Some people use grease or Vaseline to protect the glass, with good results, but you have to make sure it is well protected.
You should do a little bit of experimenting on an inconspicuous spot first. Try different concentrations and different time periods until you get the results you want.
Thanks for your question,
Captain Aurora
