Is Alumabrite CBX safe on paint and fiberglass

Will Alumabrite CBX harm the paint on the boat. Is it safe on old paint 1970ish.

Alumabrite CBX will not harm newer polyurethane paints or gelcoat on fiberglass. It can cause some streaking on anti-fouling bottom paints and may attack some older paints, especially if the composition of the paint is unknown. Before using Alumabrite CBX, or any other strong cleaner for that matter, near any paint or gelcoat, I suggest that you test it on a small inconspicuous spot to see if there are any negative effects, before doing the entire boat.
