How to brighten aluminum that is protected with Shark Hide
Dan Maus asked:
I have a 2007 Alumaweld boat that has been protected with Shark Hide. Can the Alumabrite CBX be used with that and will it be successful? Should I remove the Shark Hide prior to using the Alumabrite CBX?
Can I apply Shark Hide after using Alumabrite CBX?

You need to remove the Shark Hide before applying Alumabrite CBX. You can apply Shark Hide again after brightening the aluminum with Alumabrite CBX. For best results, clean the aluminum with a 1:4 solution of Boat Clean Plus and water after removing the Shark Hide and prior to brightening with Alumabrite CBX. This will remove any contaminates left behind by the Shark Hide stripper so that you do not get streaks.
