VS721. How long does it last. Fresh water. What happens if you don’t reapply. Does the hull look normal?

Hi John,

I’m guessing that your boat is fiberglass, so, in that case; VS721® lasts about 6 months in fresh or saltwater, but a little less in tropical and high biofouling growth regions. VS721® a perfectly clear foul release coating so it does not detract from the appearance or beauty of your boat hull. In addition to acting as a foul release coating, it also seals the pores in the gelcoat to prevent osmosis blisters, and it’s proven to improve performance and reduces fuel consumption. For trailered boats, it makes launching and hauling much easier.

If you don’t reapply VS721®, the boat hull will revert back to its original condition and appearance, or normal. You can also strip it with Boat Scrub®.

VS721® needs a clean, smooth hull to work properly. It cannot be applied over antifouling paint or a hull with biofouling. If your boat hull has marine growth on the bottom, you need to clean that with Green Genie®. Next you need to prep the hull with Boat Scrub® and a Marine Power Mitt®. Boat Scrub® will also remove any remaining stains and scuff marks that Green Genie was unable to remove. After that, you can apply 2 coats of VS721®. It’s easy to apply; Wipe On – Wipe Off.

Thanks for your question,
