How the Pros Do It - Tips & Tricks
1. Be environmentally responsible. Clean your boat on land sufficiently far away from the water’s edge so that run off will not enter the water. Algae Strip is 99.95% biodegradable.
2. Aurora Algae Strip has a sharp, unpleasant odor. When applying start at the furthest downwind spot and work upwind.
3. For better saturation and quicker results, start at the keel and work up to the waterline. Also, allow time for the chemical to work, 15 – 30 minutes. For severe fouling, reapply if necessary.
4. After striping the algae, complete the job with a thurough cleaning befor potecting the boat bottom. Deep clean and remove any remaining scuffmarks or stains with Aurora Boat Scrub. Remove tough waterline stains with Aurora Waterline Stain Remover.
5. Apply VS721 Bottom Coat to reduce further attachment of fouling to your hull.
6. When applying Algae Strip, wear protective clothing and safety glasses to ensure that the product does not splash into your eyes or get onto your skin.

"First heard about Algae Strip and your company in Sept. Practical Sailor. Terrific product. Just wish I had heard about your VS721 Bottom Coat before I sanded and painted the bottom of my Hobi. Unfortunately for me, I have lost several knots of speed."
